2017 Specialized Launch16 July
Its that time of year when Specialized invite us down to their glorious showroom to show us what shiny new bikes we can expect to see next season.
Specialized have really pulled the stops out for 2017 with an amazing line up, there truly is a bike for everyone, with some returning classics and completely new bikes.
I have to say I think its going to be a great year!
A name that might be familiar with specialized fans of yesteryear. This Cr-Mo tubed rig has the potential for a myriad of uses from a winter training bike to an all out touring setup with front and rear rack mounts. Starting at £950 for the base model this will surely be one to watch.
Despite the feelings of the UCI disc brakes are back with a vengeance this year. Now you can get your hands on Specialized staple road bike the Tarmac with a full Ultegra Disc groupset for £2,600. This is a bike that will be unstoppable whatever the conditions.
Allez DSW Sprint Expert
The most striking bike for me has to be the new Allez sprint, probably one of the most advanced alloy bikes you’ll see on the roads this year.
All new for 2017 the Specialized Alibi will be the bike of choice for those of us that just want a bike that works. With the all new Nimbus airless tyres you’ll never have to worry about a puncture. With its lightweight study Aluminium frame and simplified components this bike wont let you down and keep service costs to a minimum.
This is just a fraction of some of the great bikes we’ll be seeing decorating our showroom in the year to come. With many upgrades to existing favourites this is the best line-up we will have seen for some time.
