In store as a customer of Bikeshak your data is collected when you take part in a transaction with us or make a booking for the workshop. This is important as it allows us to contact you in the event of warranty recalls and general product safety announcements. Communicating with customers is key for the workshop as jobs may be delayed and problems may occur during a service which we will need to discuss with you.
All your data for online and in store transactions is stored on a private server which only we have access to. We do not pass on data to third parties for any reason unless specifically requested to do so by you. When we take your data in a transaction a profile is created on our system for you where your purchase and workshop history is safely stored. This data is important as it allows us to recall previous repair work helping us to address any problems that may have occurred post service, confirmation of parts fitted for warranty purposes and serves as a useful time scale of the wear of parts on your bike. Product transactions are also stored for the same reasons and this information is used only by us to generate sales reports which we use to monitor the stores performance.
