Time to oggle at a lovely bike
The Specialized Venge S-Works frame is an impressive place to start. World class levels of stiffness, weight and aerodynamics. Well, it’s certainly good enough for the likes of Messrs Cavendish & Boonen. What’s more it looks fully bad-ass in this stealthy colour scheme! The groupset is mainly made up of the new SRAM Red, with SRAM power cranks & TRP brakes. The new Red groupset has benefitted from some great improvements over an already amazing set of kit – particularly the new ‘yaw’ front mech. The shifting is super sharp and the braking powerful and predictable (even on carbon rims).
The finishing kit is up to the same world beating standard with parts from Zipp. The new SL145 carbon stem is as stiff & strong as you’d expect when coupled with a carbon Zipp bar. Then the wheels are simply fast; Zipp 303 front & 404 rear. Both are the new wide Firecrest profile offering the latest improvements in aerodynamics.
Not only is this thing fast, but it’s also light, this 58 complete with pedals & bottle cages came out at 15lb 8oz.
I’m rather jealous. I want one too.
